#516 Pwsafe already open

Win 10 1909 - Have used for years. Hundeds of passwords. All of a sudden can't open due to prev open. Deleted - reinstalled. Same problem. I know you have a lot on your plate. Thanks

    First guess: You actually have a previous instance of PasswordSafe open. Do you see the PasswordSafe icon in the taskbar (including the "hidden" icons uder "<")? If so, double-click on the icon to re-open the existing instance.

    Second guess: Your system shut down / crashed with PasswordSafe open, and the "lock" file was not removed. Just open the directory where your PasswordSafe file resides (Documents\My Safes\ by default) and delete the "pwsafe.plk" file. You should now be able to use PasswordSafe as usual.
