I have been using Password Safe (along with Password Safe Sync) on my Android phone for some time with no problems but now I have an error message and cannot open it.

Error message: Key error for content://com.jeffharris.passwdsafe.sync.provider/providers/1/files/1: Key not found for content://com.jeffharris.passwdsafe.sync.provider/providers/1/files/1

Thank you

I'm the developer for the Android app. In the preferences screen, choose Passwords, and then click to clear all saved passwords. Your saved password may have been invalidated and needs to be re-entered.

Hi. Thanks for the information. I cleared the saved passwords and could then log in with no problems.
However, when I opt to save the password I get an arror message:
    PasswdSafe-Error
Password save canceled. Failed to create an encyrption key:java.io.IOException:No fingerprints are registered.

I then have to go through the process of clearing the saved password again in order to access it. I can live with not saving the password but am curious as to what is happening?
    Thanks
    Matty

Do you use a fingerprint to access your phone? Saving the password uses a key created for your saved fingerprint. If you don't have a fingerprint registered, saving the password won't work.

    Hi.
No, I don't use a fingerprint on my phone so that explains the error message.
    Thanks for all the help.
