I've done a full git checkout, but I'm missing the UserVariables.props, and when I open the solution in Visual Studio 2012 it complains that this file is missing and it doesn't open the projects.

    From README.WINDOWS.DEVELOPERS.html:

"If you're using Microsoft's Visual Studio, the file "UserVariables.props" (for VS10) or "UserVariables.vsprops" (for VS8) must exist and describe the directories where the non-"Windows SDK" components have been installed. The solution will not open correctly without this file being present.
For your convenience, we've included a simple Visual Basic script, "configure.vbs" (or "configure8.vbs" for VS8) in the src/ui/Windows directory, that you can run to generate the above file with the correct values. These script will also prompt for the location of the 64-bit Xerces libraries for 64-bit builds."

Let me know if there's a problem with the build after you've run configure.vbs, and I'll re-open this ticket.
