Hi, PasswordSafe 2.09 is available for download. This release provides a re-implementation of the locking mechanism which addresses many of the problems that arose with the previous version. Bugs fixed in 2.09: =================== [1107971] Edit via double-click no longer crashes the application. [1103501,1119212,1138635] Refined file lock mechanism. New Features for 2.09: ====================== When saving a database, the previous version, if one exists, will be renamed with the ".dat~" suffix. This provides some minimal automatic backup. The release may be downloaded from here: https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=41019&package_id=3316 9&release_id=307061 (http://tinyurl.com/6vyhc) MD5 checksums: f10429ca6af945abe1d3bd390c11f92e pwsafe-2.09.exe 7c0240b39b38013a0ec6c473eca62fa5 pwsafe-2.09-bin.zip 0872d4bf9953ad6655c0451152758b93 pwsafe-2.09-src.zip Thanks to Frank (xformer) for helping out with the new locking mechanism. Note that this release also includes PGP/GPG signature files of the respective packages. These were signed with my SourceForge account key, keyid FA175557, key fingerprint = FF77 379D D46D DAA6 6182 B452 1D79 5A91 FA17 5557, available from a PGP keyserver near you (such as http://pgp.mit.edu:11371/pks/lookup?op=get&search=0xFA175557). Enjoy, Rony p.s. I've left out a few minor improvements that I hoped to put in this release in order to get it out the door quickly, as the locking feature was causing quite a few problems. The next release should be a bit more substantial in terms of minor bug fixes and new features. |
