Rather than struggle with the WIN32 build, I switched to the x64 build MFC and I was successful.

In case others have the trouble building I followed the instructions in the Cmake readme,
Rather than the Windows developer readme and had success.

Version 3.62

Looks like there's a problem in your dev environment. Can you compiled and run a simple "Hellow, World!" C++ program?

(note to self - remove .sln files and update build instructions)
