For what it's worth, I'm working on packaging PasswordSafe for 
Debian [1], which of course could then flow into Ubuntu.

Unfortunately, some things cropped up and I haven't had a chance
to finish it, but I'm hoping to get the last few outstanding issues
resolved and the package uploaded sometime within the next few
weeks.
