Hi Michael, Thanks for your kind words. Regarding Qt: Technically, I like it a lot. When I was looking for a cross-platform GUI, though, Qt's dual-license was problematic, so I went with wxWidgets. I see now that they've licensed Qt under the LGPL 2.1, which is better than the dual-license model. Of course Qt's future under Nokia is another issue, now that they've apparently embraced Microsoft (or is it the other way around?)... In any case, if you wish to start working on a Qt branch of the GUI, alongside windows, wxWidgets and cli, I've no problem with that. Anyone else on the passwordsafe-devel mailing list interested? Subject: Re: [Passwordsafe-devel] PasswordSafe 3.27pre and Linux 0.7 pre-release version Just a side-note: Thumbs up for your efforts! After my personal migration to "Windows 11.04" a few months ago, I would have dropped pwsafe without a perspective.. Keep up the good work! I'm sure there is a live after Windows7 :p One note: I guess every Ubuntu-user is able to do "make; make install" but 0,01% of the windows-users can: you'll simply have to provide more binaries! Michael P.S.: have you ever thought about Qt? As an User *and* developer between all chairs I love it ;) As I love pwsafe I thought many times to start that but hey, makes no sense if no-one shares that.. Any pros for? |
