Karlo, I don't think we have any plans to use any of the MFC enhancements brought in with VS2008 or VS2010 (mainly the Office type ribbon) - so this means that PasswordSafe should be able to be built with VS2005 for quite a while. As I said, the only problem will be when new source files are added or removed as only the VS2010 project files will be updated. However, as you have update access to the SVN repository, when you notice that it no longer builds because of this, you could add them to your project and commit the changes. We are working on the 64-bit build [currently the Windows build seems to work but there are still issues in the new Linux build being worked on], whilst ensuring that the current 32-bit build is not impacted. This will only be using VS2010 but, if you are happy to only build the 32-bit version using VS2005, then that should not be a problem to you. Hope this helps, David |
