Hi, In addition to the regular bug fixes and improvements to PasswordSafe, we've been working on a couple of other things that we'd like to announce: 1. PasswordSafe for Linux Beta This is a port of the same 'core' cryptographic code wrapped around a new, portable, user interface (wxWidgets). What this means is that databases created with the Windows version of PasswordSafe are fully compatible with the Linux port, and vice versa. Many thanks to Saurav, the lead developer for the Linux version, for his time, effort and patience. Ubuntu users can download the beta from http://sourceforge.net/projects/passwordsafe/files/Linux-BETA/passwordsafe-u buntu-0.1-1.deb/download Debian users should download from this link: http://sourceforge.net/projects/passwordsafe/files/Linux-BETA/passwordsafe-d ebian-0.1-1.deb/download Please read the release notes (README.LINUX) for details on how to install this on your machine. 2. PasswordSafe2Go As you may know, I've been offering a version of PasswordSafe tailored for the U3 disk-on-key system. The main advantage of this product is that it packs PasswordSafe and your database on a disk-on-key, making it very convenient for use across several machines. PasswordSafe2Go is a similar product, tailored for use with any disk-on-key, not only U3-enabled devices. Although the 'regular' PasswordSafe can be used on a disk-on-key, both of these products are more suitable for non-expert users who wish to run PasswordSafe from a disk-on-key. You can purchase PasswordSafe2Go from https://www.plimus.com/jsp/buynow.jsp?contractId=2880062 and Passwordsafe for U3 from https://www.plimus.com/jsp/buynow.jsp?contractId=2031906 Cheers, Rony |
