For XP, there were tools available that would allow you to modify the transparency of (almost) any window. The one I used on XP doesn't work on Win7 so I'm still looking, but I'm really hoping that there's still something out there that I just haven't found yet.

You could also consider one of the "multiple desktop" tools -- 'Desktops' from Sysinternals/Microsoft is one. I'm not sure that it would be any clicks than just minimizing PWS, though.

Although I had implemented this ready for 3.43, due to a major disagreement with Rony on whether contributors can implement solutions that have a user interface different to his view (please see my update to FR830), I am afraid that I no longer work on this project and so you will have to wait for Rony or another Windows developer to implement this.

  I would like to request for this feature that is not so important it is just an improvement. In my case that I work every day with password safe I like to use it with option “Always keep Password Safe on top" checked. However, often I have to close it in order to see the portion of screen behind for any reason.
  So I would like to ask if you think that do the background of password safe transparent (and from options regulate the percentage of transparency) could be nice for you.
