My team is trying to push out Password Safe to all of our users as our standard Password Manager program, but we've received immediate complaints of the "Browse to URL + Autotype" feature. The feature is prone to problems due to login sites or users marking a URL that normally redirects. And the solution of adding Autotype switches is much too technical for our giant team of non-technical sales people. Right now, they are complaining of the password being entered into search boxes or entered into the Address bar, which is a security concern.
I would like to request the option to disable the entire feature of "Browse to URL + Autotype". I would prefer to force my company to use "Browse to URL" and then once there, they have to click on "AutoType".
Maybe a checkbox in the options that disables the feature from the program? That way power users can turn it back on. My team would be using MS SCCM to push the software out, so we would need to have a way to set the disable feature across the board. Maybe a config file or something?
I would really appreciate it. Thanks for the great program!
