I use the Android app PasswdSafe, and would rather not transfer my entire home-based password database to a mobile device. I would also like to avoid using any "cloud" services to transfer password information. It would be nice to have a secure means of transferring individual password entries -- or, perhaps, small sets of entries -- directly between a PC-based version of PasswordSafe and the Droid-based PasswdSafe app.
Create the facility for PasswordSafe to display a QR code of an encrypted password safe entry. The receiving version of PasswordSafe could then read this code, unencrypt it using either a previously supplied password or a temporary password, and import it to the local database. The import may be a simple add, or might require a merge. Ideally this facility would work in both directions -- both Droid to PC version, and vice versa.
This feature would obviously require the cooperation of both sets of developers. The developer of the Android version has indicated that he's not generally averse to some functionality of this type. As a first step, it would be useful to obtain a similar "nod" from the developers of the PC-based version (:-).
Thank you for your consideration!
