I finally managed to create a CSV from my exported Firefox passwords. I want
the title of each password to be the URL, but Password Safe seems to assume
the dot charachter "." is a delimiter for group heirarchy. Is there a way to
turn that off and just accept "." as part of the Title? Why not have a
separate field for Group and Title?
This is totally possible with Text import. You will see that you can specify a
character to be used to replace dot in the Title field and "new line" in the
Notes field. It can be specified in the initial "Import Text Settings" dialog.
E.g. If you specified this as, say, # then the Title field "www#google#com"
would get saved as "www.google.com"
The more modern XML import does have Group and Title as separate fields and
can handle this.
