java to win

    Hi All,

I started using password safe last night. So, I'm a total newbie. I love the software. Here's my situation:

I use windows a lot at home and Linux a lot at work. I use the native 2.14 native windows version on windows and the 0.4 java version on Linux. I'd like to merge the two password DBs.

Currently, I've been taking my Linux password db home on a flash stick where I plug it into the windows PC. I can open the Linux/java DB in windows and it accepts my master password, but there's a lot of garbage entries as well as the actually entries in the DB. Perhaps I'm not transfering the file correctly? I noticed that I can export as an XML or plain text, but this seems insecure to me... I'd like to transfer the encrypted DB as it is from Linux to Windows. Any tips?

Many thanks for a great program!

Thanks... 0.5 fixed it. Keep up the great work!

There was a slight format change in 2.14 that was matched in version 0.5 of the Java build. I suggest you upgrade to that and let us know if the problem reccurs.
