    Hi,
    I'd like to ask for help with figuring out reasons for slow start on linux (passwordsafe-0.93). It takes about 12-13 seconds before database selection dialog appears on my fedora 20 laptop.

      I have no problems on my Fedora 20 laptop.

      Is your .pwsafe directory on the local hard disk?
      What happens when you start it from the command line (do any messages
      show?)
      What happens when you start it with the name of an empty keyring on the
      command line?
      What happens when you start it with the name of your actual keyring on
      the command line?

      Can you run the following from the command line:
      $ strace -t -o pwsafe.strace pwsafe
      (exit pwsafe as soon as the database selection dialog appears. do NOT enter your passphrase!)
      This will log all system calls that the program makes to pwsafe.strace along with timestamps, which should give a good idea where the bottleneck is.
      Then submit a bug report on this issue, and attach the file to it.

      Thanks,

      Rony
