just got an Android tablet, and would like to be able to use the same password
database. Does anyone know if there is a Password Safe compatible app for

I am the author of the Android port. Search the market for PasswdSafe. Due to
the latest market changes, you need to do enter the search term with the
proper case else it wants to 'correct' the name to password safe which
requires you to scroll to find the app.

i installed this app. Copied across a working psafe3 file and get 'invalid
    password'. Any ideas?

I do have my own forum for the Android port over at

Does your password, by chance, have non-ASCII characters in it? I had to add a
preference under "Password settings" to allow different encodings to be used.
The default is for the Windows western character set. Other possible encodings
are UTF-8 or eastern european character sets (e.g. windows-1250). The basic
Password safe file format does not mandate a particular encoding, so it may be
a little trial-and-error to match the PC.
