As of version 3.27 (4526), when I select "Put icon in System Tray" in the
options dialog, password safe does not get put into the system tray. I have
checked the System Tray "Customize" dialog, and Password Safe does not have an
    entry in there.

Odd, this works fine for me.

What version of Windows are you using?

Er, that's the version of the PasswordSafe application. I was asking about the
version of Windows (XP, Vista, 7, 98, etc.).

Sorry, I saw version, and didn't read the rest carefully. Windows 7 Ultimate
    64 bit, Version 6.1 Build 7601: Service Pack 1

I am running the exact same version of PWS under the exact same version of the
OS - and it works for me!

In Customize icons and notifications, I have an entry for PWS (you must select
"Show icon and notifications" and not just "Only show notifications").

Where it appears in this list during Customize seems to depend on whether it
    is running at the time.

It never shows up in the customize screen. I have opened customize when PWS
was running and when it was minimized, and I never get an entry for it in
Customize. All was working before the last upgrade.

I saw a lot of old programs in my list, so I decided to clear them all out (I
did it via the registry via instructions which can be found at
    http://www.ghacks.net/2010/02/09/remove-old-notification-icons-in-
    windows-7/).

I then ran PWS and added it again (and set up the ones I wanted). I will have
to remember any programs that were not running at the time I cleared them out
and add them back as/when I next run them.

PWS still there in tray for me.

I don't have any old ones, and another app I just installed did show up in the
    listing. This is just weird.
