I have only recently completed manually copying 156 entries from the 3 beta version to the new 3.07 version. My computer crashed and now every time I open PWsafe and enter my password I get "the database is corrupt or truncated" I click on OK and it opens anyways. All my information seems to be intact. Is there a way to compact & repair the database? (I do have a backup but it's 2 weeks old and several entries have changed)
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
By default, PasswordSafe saves a backup version after each save. Look for a file with the name of the database, but with the suffix ".ibak" instead of ".psafe3". By default, this is in the same directory as the .psafe3 database. Copy this file to a ".psafe3" file name, and try to open that. If this works, you will have only lost the very last change.
Good luck,
Rony
