Will there be a port of password safe to *nix flavors?
I have been using password safe for a few years, and only complaint is that it is native to only windows. I am in the process of converting all my systems to Linux.

Well, for what its worth, winex2.0 from Transgaming will run password safe in Linux. Probably wine will work too, although I haven't tried it.
Not as good as a Linux port, but better than nothing.
