I just updated from 3.64 to 3.64.01 and now I'm getting a prompt from my firewall that Passwordsafe is trying to connect to the internet. It's never done this before. The IP varies, but it's always port 80.
I looked in the options to make sure there wasn't a setting set to check for updates, and I didn't see one. I don't let anything connect unless it needs to so I blocked it, but now there's a long delay when starting it while it attempts to connect.
Why is it trying to connect all of the sudden, what is it sending, and can I turn it off?

TL;DR - it's a side effect of a new security check, and will be addressed in the next release.
This is due to a new check introduced in this version. In short, PasswordSafe now checks the signature of any dll that it loads. As part of this check, Windows tries to access the Certificate Authority to ensure that the signing certificate wasn't revoked.
