groups get placed under other groups - what am I doing?

I have lots of passwords in pwsafe, in many groups. Every so often, I realize I'm not seeing one of the groups. I click open the other groups and somehow the "missing" group is under one of the others, like a subdirectory. I'm never sure how to put it back at the top level, but I fumble around and eventually manage to drag and drop it where it belongs. Is there some keystroke that I might be accidentally hitting, to put a group under another? That's the only way I can imagine that this is happening.

I have experienced this also. I only manipulate the DB on my desktop pc. I have not been able to discover what causes the unintentional relocation of entries or folders.
When I can't find the Amazon entry under my Shopping Group, for example, I use the search function and find it relocated under some other group. This doesn't happen too often but it is annoying when it does.

Most likely this is due to an unintentional drag & drop.

Note that you can easily change the group an entry's directly in the "Group" dropdown in the entry's Edit dialog.

      Rony:

Sorry for resurrecting this somewhat "dated" thread ...

      ... see "Bug Item" 1591.

You are absolutely correct that this behavior is caused -- at least for me -- by Inadvertent Drag & Drop.

HOWEVER, "locking" all the entries in a group STILL does NOT prevent this behavior.

i.e. an inadvertant "Drag & Drop" of a group populated with 100% protected entries, STILL moves the group (and changes all the "protected" entries in the process)

It might seem that Drag & Drop overrules entry protection; something which presumably should NOT occur.
