#753 Ver 3.17 application error

I am trying to open a ver. 3.03 password safe file with 3.17. I am getting an application exception error. do I have to run through a conversion or export import passwords first?
I get a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library, Runtime Error! Program: C:\program files\password safe\pwsafe.exe.
This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
then it comes up with
application Error: The exception unknown software exception (0x40000015) occurrred in the application at location 0x60653e31.
any suggestions?

I got it to work by exporting to xml the V3.03 data and importing it into V3.17. then it opened up fine.

Glad you found a workaround.
However, I'd like to investigate this further - if you can send me the diagnostic file generated by Windows, that would help me a lot!
Alternately, a dummy PasswordSafe 3.03 database that recreates the crash would also help.

I had the same problem with a 3.07 database in 3.16 and also 3.17.
I knew that I could export and import but would like a fix,

I would be happy to create a new 3.07 database and, subject to it failing in the same way, send in the diagnostic file.
Would you want me to ronsys?
