Using 64-bit Password Safe v 3.64 on Windows 7 SP1 64-bit ...
I have an existing database (format 3.14) - file1 - on my PC with many entries, but I want to create and maintain a second file with only a small subset of these entries, to take with me when I travel, so I do this:
Create a new empty database - file2 - and open both files simultaneously ("allow multiple instances" is enabled).
Drag-and-drop three entries from file1 to file2, save and close file2.
Now I travel, taking file2 with me. But I think maybe I used an untrustworthy system in my travels, so when I get home I want to change one of those passwords...
In file1 change the password in one of the entries that were copied to file2. Check the "password last changed on" field, see that it has been updated (to current time time1).
Close file1.
Open file2. Select File Synchronize... file1. Three entries are synchronized.
In file2, display password of entry that I changed - it is the new password that I set in file1. But on the (file2) Dates and Times tab, the "password last changed on" date/time has not been updated to time1, to match file1. It is still the time of the previous password.
This seems to be the case whether or not I select "Advanced field selections criteria" and all fields, when synchronising.
It looks like the same problem occurs with "other value last changed on". Reproduced by changing only the URL field in an entry in file1 then sync from file1 to file2.
