- labels: Yubikry --> Yubikey
From Ben:
I recently updated my very old version of password safe from 3.29Y to 3.39.1. After doing this, I was completely unable to open my password safe file or backups, which the application said were either corrupt or I had entered the wrong credentials.
I was definitely using the same files, password and Yubikey TFA as with the previous version. Initially I wondered whether this was an issue with the config in the Yubikey having been broken, so I first used a backup Yubikey and then restored the TFA settings to both keys from a backup; this did not restore the safes to usable status. However, after uninstalling 3.39.1 and reinstalling 3.29Y, I was able to open the 'corrupt' files again.
This at least solved a major panic, but I thought you might like to know that there is a bug in the latest version, or at least that it does not have backwards compatibility with a safe created by 3.29Y.
If you need any more info from me to address this I'd be happy to provide it; please let me know.
Hope this helps and thanks for what has otherwise been an excellent utility, for a long time.
