I use the string "[Ã]" in the name of some entries in my database (those that use the "[alt]" feature of URLs). Pressing F2 or selecting "Rename Entry" from either the right-click or main menu has no effect. The name field can still be edited using "Edit Entry."

Couldn't duplicate this - could you attach a sample database that has such an entry? (Don't forget to write the password in the attachment's comment)

Created a new db by dragging and dropping a problem item from my db and then editing. PW for db is "a"

Thanks! The problem is not with "Ã", as I thought, but with the square brackets. These "confuse" PasswordSafe, since the username is also displayed in square brackets.

This would be tricky to fix. A workaround would be to use (parenthesis) instead for your entries. You can use Edit->Edit Entry... to change this.
