I constructed an ebuild for CPM so that Gentoo users
can install it easily.

However, while it builds CPM just fine, it doesn't
install it correctly. The problem is that Gentoo's
portage system wants the program to install itself into
a temporary directory, the contents of which are then
copied into the correct installation locations. CPM
attempts to install directly into the filesystem. I
could work around this, so that the ebuild installs
each file directly, rather than calling 'make install',
but this seems to be an inelegant solution. <emph>Can
you change the makefile of CPM to install to the prefix
DESTDIR?</emph>

Also, I created a patch to get 'make gettext' to work.
My version of tail (which is probably every gentoo
user's version) requires a '-n' prefix to the number of
lines, which breaks this part of the makefile.

Both these files are available at <a

Thanks.

Release 0.8beta will fix this and I'll also provide an
ebuild file for installation on Gentoo.
