1. The preferences file 'passreminder.preferences' is
placed in the user's home folder. This is not a good
idea when the application is ued from a memory stick.
It might be better to store the file at the same place
where the shell scripts are located.

2. If you still prefer the $HOME folder then under UNIX
a dot should be put in front of the filename so that
thet file is hidden per default:
'.passreminder.preferences'

Only with the first solution the user's pr file will be
found when started from the memory stick on different
computers.

The last issue is that the application should check for
existence of the pr file before asking for the
password. Because when the pr file is not found there
is no need to ask for the password.
