I have added an .x to the end of versions that are not released, that is, versions that don't have an archive in the files area, and are fully tested.

That is:

1.2.x

This comes about because I noticed that the version number of the source code, even though never released, is being referred to on the internet. This is a natural result of my taking too long to do releases, and people naturally using the source tip itself.

Thus in the future, all versions directly derived from the source will bear the .x version. For all intents as purposes, that means the source will always be marked experimental in the VCS. The only time you will (or should) see releases without the .x are in the archives in files area.
