Do not install the source RPMs. The binaries installed are sufficient to run the tools. You are set to go. Just update them (step 3 in the INSTALL) when a new version is advertised on the partools-announce list. :-) Otherwise, ParTools RPMs will be updated automatically along with other packages of the distribution every time you update the CentOS box, e.g., through 'yum update'.
