Hi,
First of all, thank you guys for DRBL/Clonezilla/partclone!
However, I recently run into a problem on an install base of 300+.
I found something similar on this thread: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4553522
When running DRBL or Clonezilla using either the Partclone or Partimage method for disk imaging, I run into the problem that already during the read an "I/O error 5" occurs on a certain partition. Consequently, trying to restore, the above mentioned thread's error is returned on the very same partition. However the block per group count is 32768.
Using DRBL 1.8.2-38 (stable) version.
The source disk is running RedHat EL-AS3-8. Attached file contains the partition data (/dev/sda8) via dumpe2fs. Need more? Let me know.
Two minor suggestions to the Clonezilla process. Since running it on a terminal the output flies off the screen too fast to actually see the error of partclone/ image.
- should send a log to the server (it may do so already?)
- shouldn't continue execution w/o informing operator of an error
