#2 'save' operation with unused blocks cleared

I would like to have a clone/save operation that generates a plain image of a partition with all unused blocks set to zero. These zero blocks should be easily crunched away by a subsequent compression. This way we would obtain a plain image that can be written back using 'dd'. No need for a special image format.
