The images usually contain checksums for their various sections. It would be nice if partclone_imageinfo and mountimage had an option to check if the data matches with the checksums. For mountimage, the checksums would be check before activating the NBD device, because image format 0002 has 1 checksum per 256 blocks and all blocks must be read to compute the checksum. So it is impratical to check the checksum while the blocks are randomly accessed.

The cache file also has checksums and it should be included in the verification.
