SshView / News: Recent posts

SshView 1.0.0 released. The plugin is available by download, or through the new update site:

After not finding a working ssh terminal plugin for eclipse I decided to see how hard it would be to hijack the sshterm project (the sshtools project on sf.net) and "plugin-ize" it. Turns out it was fairly easy.

Note: this plugin won't work on the mac because of eclipse bug 67384 (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=67384). Porting sshview to SWT would solve this, but it's sort of a big job. Anyone wanting to lend a hand let me know.

I'm in the process of recycling this project. The name is fitting for the purpose, a Par2 client, and the old project was abandoned some time ago, so no real loss there.

Any developer out there with Java code to contribute
is encouraged to get in touch with me. I'm still considering the license to use as well as the architecture details... I'm commited to having a fully Java implementation, but I'd also like to remain flexible so using native code is still an option (JNI).... read more
