I am running QuickPar 0.7.5 on Windows 2000+SP4, and
I have set QuickPar to be the default application
for .PAR and .PAR2 files. I have found that
occassionally (not always) when I double-click the .PAR
or .PAR2 file, then QuickPar launches but lists no data
files. If I then use the Open command in the QuickPar
GUI to open the .PAR/.PAR2 file all the data files are
found without problems.
I am more than happy to provide additional diagnostic
information if someone tells me what would be useful.

Can you use Regedit to check the value of
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\PAR2_Recovery_Volume\shell\open\command.
It should be something like:
"C:\Program Files\QuickPar\QuickPar.exe" "%1"
Note the %1 is surrounded by quote marks.

The key is set to:
"R:\_NBPRO\QuickPar.exe" "%1"
which looks inline with the format that you were expecting?
Note: I only seem to be getting these problems for .PAR2
files I originally thought I was getting it for .PAr files as well,
but I suspect I was wrong about that), as the .PAR files that
are also associated with QuickPar seem to be working fine.

I have noticed that when I double-click on a .PAR2 file that
the name displayed will look something like "FITNES~2.PAR" -
in other words it is the dos compatible shortname format. Is
this likely to be what is causing the problem (and is there
anything I can do about it)?
