You don't. PAR files are error recovery files. The other files in the set contain the data to be decompressed. If one (or more) of those files is unusable, you can reconstruct it using the PAR2 files. For example a typical file set will contain a .PAR2 file, a bunch of .partxx.rar files and a bunch of .volxx+yy.PAR2 files. You decompress the .partxx.rar files. If that doesn't work, you use PAR2 to reconstruct the bad .partxx.rar files and try again.
