I am wondering if this project is still being developed at all, or has it been aborted? It seems to me that it's been a couple years since there were any developments as far as programs for .par2 files go. There have been a few major advancements in computer architecture since QuickPar 0.9.1 was released, and I am hoping to find some support for these; that is, support for multi-threading and 64-bit processors. Is it possible to just recompile the code for QuickPar using a 64-bit compiler in order to fully utilize 64-bit systems? Doubtful, but not sure.. Also, I know I saw a post someone else has made asking about multi-core CPUs, which need multi-threading, correct?
So time for the big question on my mind.. is this project still being developed at all? Or has something newer and ?better already come out? Anyone know?
thanks.
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
In fact, the algorithm part seems to be frozen. But par2cmdline can be compiled on a 64 bit machine without any problems. Concerning QuickPar, you should ask on the quickpar site I think.
