I'm willing to offer my services to revamp the web page... incorporate all that documentation that we've been saying this utility needs.
If you want this site to remain purely about the filespec that's okay but it would be nice for widely used programs such as mirror to have a "quality" server to host their docs and release files on etc etc.
Well, the page is waaay out of date. Kilroy put it up, when he created the project. I want to refresh it since ages, but can't find the time.
So any help is appreciated.
Problem is: I just looked, how to put up a webpage here and have to admit, that I don't have a clue about this. (I don't have any experience in this ssh stuff...)
So, how about this:
I give you the rights to put up a web page and you do what you want. We'll see, how good it is, but anything is better than the current state...
What rights do you need for this? doc? dev? adm?

I think there is a "web designer" profile in the permissions. But i think that is just the role and doesn't really change much of anything.
I think i can get by with simply being a developer of the group, that should give me access to the shell and the htdocs folder.
if it doesn't i'll let you know.
Only other thing i might request is a new sub-project in the taskmanager, "website", and the permissions i need to create tasks. Not entirely necessary but it's nice so that you can track my progress and i can assign the occasional "approve something" task to the admins before i make it active to the public.
I don't know if you want me to author any real documentation (probably not) but if there is a need for that you'd want to give me "editor" status under document manager, if we choose to use the SF docs format that is.
I've got a few other things on my plate right now... but i'll get to it shortly, at the very least "upgrade" the minimalistic page that is there right now.

Just slapped a temporary page up for
http://musicarchiver.sourceforge.net if you are curious about my work.

Welcome to parchive...
You are doc manager and tool admin too, so use docs and the taskmanager as you like.

Thank you ... look forward to working with you all.
I'll be upgrading the temporary page very shortly... after that i'll inquire as to if there is a need for a more "feature-full" site.
I won't change the index web document until at least a couple of the developers/admins have had a chance to approve any work that i do.
I'll likely use the Task manager to announce when these approvals are needed.
Take care,
binerman <-- new web guy
PS- I will use the 'developer' forum to ask questions of the developers about site content/nature etc etc... so keep an eye on it.
