I just committed code that allows the remapping of stereographic and
equisolid input lenses.
I tested the equisolid (which is the same as the Lambert Azimuthal Equal Area, I
discovered) with the Nikkor 10.5.
With a=b=c=d=e=0 parameters, the equisolid is clearly superior.
But when b<>0 is used, the fisheye becomes as good as the equisolid.
When a,b,c,d,e are different from zero, I get the same results (a
perfect 360/180 panorama) with either projection (PTmender -> emblend)
(input is 8 photos, with a 40D).
I haven't tested it fullframe. It might be a different story.
BTW, the input number for equisolid is 21 (19 is a bug), but it might
change to the same as LambertEqual area (16) since they are the same
if anybody is interested, i'll post some photos.
