I finally got panolib to compile again on Windows using MSVC.net
Once I got the image libraries (jpeg, tiff, zlib, png) by down loading
wxWidgets things were much better.
I am going to update the wiki article once I get my self together. This
combination is very easy.
Configuring TortoiseCVS to be able to commit my changes was another
story. :-( but finally figured it out.
I modifed the includes for PTCommon.c and ColourBrightness.c to exclude
a bunch of files that were not needed and did not exist on Windows. I
added INT32_MAX to pt_stdint.h. I also updated libpano.vcproj to
include ColourBrightness and PTCommon.
If the includes are needed for other platforms then they should be put
inside a #ifdef.
I still need to do some speed test. In the past the MSVC.net version
ran 25% to 50% faster. With all the other improvements I wonder how it
