This page guides you to setup printers for the POS.
SETUP PRINTERS
If you are setting up the receipt printer, use the field Printer, which is by default assigned to receipt printers.
If you are setting up Order Printers, you need to set the printing areas.There are by default 2 fixed printing areas, kitchen and bar. And additional 3 customizable printing areas, that you can name as you wish.
To assign a name to the customizable printing areas, in configuration/hardware, enter the name you wish to assign to Print Zone 1, Print Zone 2 and Print Zone3. For instance they could be Dessert Area or Pizza Oven.
Then go to POS Maintenance/Resources where you will find the following files:
- Printer.Ticket.Kitchen
- Printer.Ticket.Bar
- Printer.TicketZone1
- Printer.TicketZone2
- Printer.TicketZone3
This files contain the info for Orders to be sent. Each file corresponds to an area. To assign an installed printer to an area, find the line <ticket printer="1"> and replace 1 with the number of the printer you want to assign to that area.
To assign a product to a printing area, on Product Page, on tab Printing, check the area you want the product to be print in.
Example - You want to assign a Star BSC10 to an area called Dessert Area. And I want this printer to be number 3.
