What does post-Industrial transportation look like?

There are several stages. First we have to make a migration plan from our current automotive techniques to an all human-powered (and renewables) world.

The end point to envision is an advanced bicycle network with maintenance stations and food shacks along the way, creating the "sustainable culture".

Bicycle coops, for rebuilding bikes, recycling parts.

For long distance, repurpose rail lines for wind/solar and human-powered cars.

Reconsider the value of being able to get anywhere easily in a post-industrial paradigm. Re-think it that we want to protect these beautiful ecosystems we'll be creating and stewarding.

In the near term:

  • No jets, the price per passenger is too great.
  • A revamped continental railway system for traveling long distances which interconnects in a tree-like fashion to regional light-rail systems, municipal buses, and then onto bike paths.
  • Re-designed [Internal_combustion_engine]s.
  • solar-powered transport
  • Omni-present, well-designed bike paths.
  • Mass transportation, buses and light-riail, that accepts bicycles (light rail interconnecting major cities]
