pam_smb v2.0.0-rc6
==================
What is pam_smb?
=--------------=
pam_smb is a PAM module/daemon which allows authentication of UNIX users using an NT server. This is the first v2 release, and supersedes the 1.1.6 release.
Please use rc4 or above as this fixes some remote root exploits.
What's New in this version -- v2.0.0
=----------------------------------=
v2 contains considerable changes over the v1 release.
v2 operates in two modes,
- v1 compatibility mode where the standalone module is built and operates
as for v1 installations.
- v2 daemon mode, the module interacts with a daemon to do the work. New features include:
o serialisation of the authentications
o username mapping code
o authentication caching code
o multiple domain support
Changes since the v1 release are in the CHANGES file.
