#477 AVG Anti-Virus software blocks Pamguard installer (version 2.01.04)

AVG will block the PAMGuard installer as suspicious. Alison Gill has experimented with this a lot (search PAMGuard support emails for screen shots). Sometimes it releases the installer within a few seconds, sometimes it takes minutes. Once it kept the installer in quarantine for 3 days. She was just using default parameters, and the problem is easy to duplicate. Need to look into this more if others start having the same problems.
