The source code there is Linux generic but the RPMs linked from there
are for SUSE distributions that's true.

True. I never wanted to fork that project but since I had to do some
fixes and wanted to make them public somewhere I created this project.
I'm fine with merging back to the SF project but my request to be added
to the project was not answered a long time ago.
