One-touch export to jukebox program

Version 2.03a adds a great new feature: any number of your favorite jukebox programs (like xmms, PyTone, Tunez, or whatever) may be configured so that you can launch them from a playlist window simply by pressing a function key. Paloma will write the playlist to a .m3u file (or copy the song files to a directory tree, if necessary) and launch your jukebox program of choice to play it.

Recoding efforting proceeding well

The new version of Paloma is coming along nicely. It is about 90% functional now after the first four weeks of coding. Paloma 2.0 should be ready for public consumption well before the end of May.

The curious are welcome to investigate the Python code in the CVS tree; but be warned that database patches performed by a CVS branch may invalidate your existing database--you should only use a temporary database for running code in development.

Recoding effort underway

Paloma is currently undergoing a significant recoding effort, to make it once again usable after a long period of stagnation in which several of its dependent libraries have changed their interfaces, making it difficult to compile.

I expect the new version of Paloma to be available within a few weeks. Stay tuned!
