I'm a new member to this group and I'm also new to deal
with palmkit.Right now I'm working on language models
using the chracteristics of Japanese models and using the
version palmkit-1.0.31.But I have got a lot of questions
and there is nobody in my lab who can help me with
this.So, I may ask very fundamental questions which may
even make you all laugh.But plz I ask for your help and
kind co-operation.

始めまして、日比野です。

http://palmkit.sourceforge.net/palmkit-1.0.31.tar.gz
で配布されているpalmkit 1.0.31をベースに、

palmkitの非公式Debianパッケージを作ってみました。
http://hym.info.gifu-u.ac.jp/~thibino/palmkit/

alienを使えばrpmにも変換できると思います。

パッケージを作っていて気がついたのですが、
docの.xvpicsというサムネイルのキャッシュ用ディレクトリと
公式配布物の各ディレクトリにあるCVSディレクトリは
配布の際には不要だと思いますがいかがでしょうか。

これらのディレクトリはパッケージングの際に
問題の原因となりますので削除した方が良いと思います。

cvsならcvs exportで
CVSディレクトリを除去したtar.gzが生成できるはずです。

はじめまして。現在UTEPというアメリカの大学で音声認識の研究をしている三浦
亮太と申します。
Palmkitをダウンロードしてきて、LanguageModelの構築をすることにしたのです
が、早速質問があるので、投稿させていただきます。
SegmentationErrorについてです。

環境はWinXP日本語＋cygwin、CPUはPenIII800、メインメモリは256MBです。
それで、Cygwinの上でgccでMakeし、インストールまではなんの問題もなく行き
ました。
それで、早速テストしてみようと思い、10文くらいの簡単な.textファイルを作
成し、text2wfreq, wfreq2vocabまではなんの問題もなくいったのですが、
text2idngramで何回やってもSegmentationFaultになります。
N-gramBufferやHashTableSize、N-gramの値を変えてみたんですけれどもだめで
した。

他にこのような症状のある方はいらっしゃいますか？
また、この解決法をご存知の方がいらっしゃったら、教えてください。
