[Palm-db-tools-list] compile on OSX

To anyone who can guide,

I have downloaded the latest version and managed to get it to compile 
with
OSX's gcc by changing an environment variable, but it gives me two
link errors.

These appear to refer to the creation of shared libraries. Can you 
advise
on how to change to just a static link?
