#5 paintlib runnability issue

I was testing out the most recent paintlib version using the JPG and BMP form and noticed that paintlib registers loads of errors. I'm not certain but it may have to do something with the version differences in the paintlib installation (of 2003) and the more recent iamge packages (be PNG, JPG, TIFF among others from approx. 2005 and onwards).

Can you please take a look into this?
