[Pagekit-devel] PageKit with multimedia ?

Hello all,

let me introduce myself, my name is Alexandre Brethel, and i work for the same 
company in Brazil that "Leonardo T. de Carvalho <leo...@ib...>" ( who used to be quite active on this list by the late of 2001 ) worked for. Now Leonardo has left in search for "greener fields", and the PageKit maintenance has landed on my lap.

	We have been using PageKit on a couple sites, for about an year now, mostly as a data-entry frontend for Oracle and PostGreSQL databases backends, and boy, it's great ( thanks for your work, TJ ).

	But, as a new-year resolution i reckon, my boss is inclined on using PageKit with multimedia streaming ( audio and video ), and i recall Leonardo having mentioned that Boris Zentner ( hi Boris, i'm a fan of your work on the Pkit ) once made a comment about it.

	So, that's this email purpose, i wondered whether or not someone smarter than me ( that's not particulary difficult ) has faced this challenge before, and could spare a couple pointers and tips ( the first idea involves the PKit session and authentication over ssl -- which we currently use extensively -- to control access to the multimedia/streamed content ) on free-as-in-speech-software that might be used in conjuction with Pkit for streaming.
