PAdict, the personal assistant dictionary for Japanese on PalmOS (and PocketPC, using the StyleTap emulator), is finally available in a new and improved version. It comes with a bigger database than ever before (more than 100.000 records, if enough memory is installed), some bug fixes and new hotlist handling.

PAdict is a Kanji/Kana Japanese/English Dictionary for Palm PDAs. This release is a database update release; kanji handdraw recognition and stroke order diagrams have been improved; some minor bugs have been fixed, too.

I just wanted to say sorry again. Right now I'm taking some VERY heavy exams and I had no chance finishing 0.3.0 before. Hope the best for february!

Sorry, I've been very busy with "paid work" (well, that work paid in hard cash, not emotions ;) - so I had no time to finish 0.3.0 by now. But it's still getting closer; I hope the last bugs can be tracked down soon. I simply don't want to release something that might crash, even under strange conditions... I just hope everyone understands that.

Well, not exactly in October, but the release of the ne PAdict version is getting close. Really ;)

I think I finally finished feature-adding and I begun stability tests a few days ago. It looks really good by now, I'm tracking the last one or two fatal errors down and hope no new appear.

I still have to pack the database packages (prepare for japanese-german this time!), but I think it will be a nice X-Mas for all of us :)

PAdict is a japanese-english/english-japanese dictionary for PalmOS3.3 and higher. The new version includes stroke recognition for kanji (based on pocketkanji) and has improved performance and memory usage. Oh, and bugfixes of course. Dictionary entries are displayed in Kana and Kanji. There is also a japanese-french/french-japanese database available. This version seems to be really stable again, so go for it!

I think I promised to release version 0.2.5 of padict last friday, but there are still some problems to solve.

I'm very sorry for that, but I think the new version should be out soon!

I'd consider version 0.2.2a the first version usable by most peoble out there; I really like the input handling now, and the searches are good enough to really use it "in the wild"... :)

there was an outdated padict.prc file in the padict-0.1 release. after compiling, the prc is to be found in the bin/ folder (not resources/).

zip file has been replaced.
